Malia Obama Plans To Attend Harvard University

President Barack and First Lady Michelle Obama‘s oldest daughter is planning to call Cambridge, Mass., her new home. The Washington Post reports that Malia Obama will attend Harvard University in fall 2017.

This news arrives after multiple reports stated that Malia, 17, was on an East Coast college tour where the young adult reportedly considered New York University, Brown University, Columbia University, and Barnard College.

In a recent issue of Seventeen Magazine, Mrs. Obama shared priceless advice with her daughters on taking your time when selecting a school to further their education.

“The one thing I’ve been telling my daughters is that I don’t want them to choose a name,” she said. “I don’t want them to think, ‘Oh I should go to these top schools.’ We live in a country where there are thousands of amazing universities. So, the question is: What’s going to work for you?”

Now, it looks like Malia wants to continue the legacy of the Obamas at Harvard, an institution that both Mrs. Obama and the president attended for law school. The First Lady carried out her undergraduate studies at Princeton University, while President Obama took his talents to Columbia.

Congrats Malia!
